Exercise and Health

Hello Everyone,
I hope this day finds you well and happy. I'm Ann and this is my journey with thyroid cancer.
Almost everyday I research what I can do to cure this cancer. I find this therapeutic and reading or watching videos helps me to stay motivated. I continually learn more and more ways to become and then remain healthy. Exercise is one huge key to good health, so this January, I started doing two things immediately. The first thing I did was to start going to a yoga class. The one I go to concentrates on stretching and breathing. The class is only an hour long and when I leave I feel invigorated. I didn't think I would ever like yoga, but I do enjoy this class. The next thing I did was to buy a mini trampoline. I started jumping on the trampoline twice a day and do about 300 jumps each time. My goal is to work up to 500.
Since it's winter and where I live is cold, I have a future goal of walking 3 miles a day. I used to walk more than this so I'm sure I can do it. However, after watching the above video, I will start walking now. I may not do 3 miles, but that's ok. I will be starting to stress my body with the exercise and the cold. This will help me to gain strength in two ways and I will become stronger in the process. Once I start getting stronger (I'm really out of shape!) I want to start a body toning class. I think exercise is the final key to healing my body and ridding it of cancer.
I added a video from the 'Urban Monk'. I recently found out about him and value and agree with his work. This particular video talks about how we should be eating a healthy diet to get the nutrients we need from food and it also talks about natural stressors to the body and how these are important in helping us to become stronger. I found it really interesting and hope you do as well. The video is a little less than an hour long, but can be paused if you don't have time to watch it in one sitting. I haven't watched all of the Urban Monk's videos yet, but I'm looking forward to them.
For now, wishing you health and happiness!
