Being mindful means to pay attention to what you are doing & feeling. It means to be in the moment. It also means understanding why your surroundings & feelings are important. Being mindful helps you to make decisions based on what is best for you.

When you are mindful about what you are doing, you can focus on that task. Being mindful allows you to understand you. You are able to enjoy your surroundings and those around you. Being mindful allows you to appreciate the moment you're living in.

There is a reason mindfulness is the first topic I chose to share. When you understand why you are doing something the path is clear and you can be successful - Let's Continue…

A really important area to be mindful is at home with your family. When you're home your mind should focus there. You should never bring your work home with you. Get what you can get done at work and then leave with a fresh plan of attack for tomorrow. It's not fair to you or your family to be thinking of other things, especially work. You love them and they are important to you. Show them. Learn about your family, what they like, what they need, what you all enjoy doing together and just relax and enjoy each other. You owe it to them and yourself.

I'm sure many of us have a lot of work to do. The problem is, trying to multitask. It's hard to give your full attention to more than one project at a time. The key to working mindfully is to focus on one task at a time, get it done & then focus on your next project. It's already tough enough to have to deal with phone calls and other distractions. Just prioritize the day's work and do it a step at a time. This will help you to be mindful of your work. and do it to the best of your ability.

I've given you some information that may require a few changes on your part. Think about a strategy and put it into place. Making a plan for the day, walking after work to release stress, having family dinners, and turning off your phone will help you to focus on what's most important in that moment. All of these strategies may benefit the quality of work you do as well as the time you spend with your family.
