Good Evening All,

Happy December! May this holiday season bring you peace and happiness.

It's Ann and this is my journey with thyroid cancer. This past week I got the results from my recent testing. It wasn't great news, but it wasn't terrible. One of the nodules in my lungs has continued to grow at the pace that indicates thyroid cancer with tall cell variant (which is what I have). What this means is, although the cancer cannot be biopsied yet, it is most likely thyroid cancer that has metastasized. The good news is, the other nodules have remained unchanged. The plan is to be retested in 4 months and then probably every 4 to 6 months after that. If the nodule grows to around a centimeter it can be surgically removed. This will, of course, come with it's own significant side effects. Lung surgery, of any kind, is no joke.

So what's my plan? Well I started this diet in June, but not full force. I kind of eased my way into it by quitting processed foods and sugar first, then coffee and alcohol, and lastly meat. I started coffee enemas later in July and Essiac Tea in July also. What I've decided to do is continue the diet, but more of a traditional vegan diet and maybe 3 coffee enemas a week instead of daily. I will now add legumes, which are allowed on the Gerson diet, and nuts, which is not. Many people on the sites I'm part of have cured their cancer using a vegan diet. I still have time and will continue this fight. However, if the time comes that it is recommended I have the nodule removed, that is what I will probably do.

I believe this diet is beneficial. I have lost a significant amount of weight, decreased my blood pressure, and feel pretty good. I know there are arguments on whether or not to go with traditional medicine or an alternative route and for now, I'm sticking with alternative. However, I plan to use the best of both worlds if I need to. I will keep you updated as I continue on this journey.

For now, wishing you health and happiness!
