Hi All, May this day present wonderful, new, experiences for you,

I'm so lucky to have had time to do research as I travel on this journey with thyroid cancer. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to watch an interview given by Chris Beat Cancer. He was interviewing Dr. Vickers of the Gerson Clinic in Baha Mexico. During this interview, Dr. Vickers explained some of the rationales for the protocols and restrictions of the Gerson Diet. I thought this was really important information and watched every minute of the 2+ hours. If you or a loved one have cancer and plan on going here, try to find the time to watch this informative video. Unfortunately, going to this clinic is a bit out of my price range, but it has inspired me to find out more information about the supplements they suggest and I also decided to increase the amount of juices I drink each day. The Gerson Diet is very strict, but has gotten results. I used to put in any organic vegetables I could find in my juice, but now I plan to have carrot, carrot apple, and green juices. Frankly, I wish I had some of this very specific information two months ago when I first started my journey. Please try to find the time to watch this interview. I would give you an overview, but I can't do it justice. The interview doesn't just talk about cancer. Diabetes, MS, weight loss, as well as other ailments are mentioned.

After watching this, I decided to do a little bit more research on the Gerson Diet. I found a workshop given by Charlotte Gerson. I added those to the bottom. I realize these are all long videos, but they really give an a nice overview of the diet and it's rationales. One of the things Charlotte Gerson said that stands out to me was to find one thing and stick with it. She said if you try a bit of this and a bit of that, it probably won't work. I am sticking with the Gerson Diet and am not eating some of the things I thought was OK. For example, using nuts and seeds. I won't be doing this for awhile.

My new daily regime is as follows:

Essiac Tea (wait 1/2 hour before eating anything else)

Organic Steel Cut Oatmeal with two spoonfuls of organic maple syrup (Grade A)

Green Juice (includes whatever greens I can find under the green juice recipe. I add carrots and apples for taste.)

Fruit

Mixed vegetables for lunch

Carrot Apple Juice

Mixed vegetables for dinner

Fruit

This is still not an exact replica of the Gerson Diet, but it is a lot closer. Juicing is expensive, so I'm doing what I can afford. I just bought Charlotte Gerson's book and plan to read about the supplements. I will update you when I find out about this part of the program. Here is a site I found that includes the recipes for all of the juices, oatmeal, and Hippocrates Soup.

Please let me know what you think about the videos below. If you plan to go to the Gerson Clinic or have already gone, I would love to hear about your experience.

For now, wishing you health and happiness.
