Good Morning and Happy Day to you all,

Vegan! Well we all know vegetables are good for us and we should eat more, so why not vegan?

On my journey to beat thyroid cancer, I learned about the vegan way of living. This was not something I had ever thought about and really couldn't understand how anyone would want to only eat vegetables. I never imagined I would be following a vegan diet, but I'm doing it now and I must say, it's really not too bad!

After finding out the nodules in my lungs were multiplying and getting larger I started researching what I could do to slow the progression or even cure my cancer. I was so fortunate to find Ty & Charlene Bollinger and "The Truth About Cancer, A Quest For The Cure". I learned so much and suggest all of you at least watch some of their videos. Before I finished the docu-series, I decided to change my diet. I started buying organic vegetables for meals and for juicing. I stopped eating meat, sugar, salt, and all processed foods. I also stopped drinking coffee and alcohol. Basically, I'm eating a modified Vegan Diet. After doing all of this research, it is my opinion that this will really help me to become and stay healthy. I will not rule out the possibility of taking chemo in the future - I'm just going to do everything I can in hopes I won't have to.

I mention 'The Truth About Cancer' and I want to explain why. I used to be a nurse but was never taught how important diet was to staying healthy. I knew it was important for diabetes, but cancer? If you have cancer you get chemo, radiation, or both. After watching the series and hearing about people curing their cancer, I knew I had to try this approach. I like vegetables, so why not? I've been doing this diet for about two months and it is getting easier. It actually would be pretty simple if salt was allowed. Because I'm choosing to follow most of the Gerson Diet, salt is prohibited and for now, I'm sticking with this approach. I will be finding out more about the elimination of salt, but I'm sure it has to do with circulation and strengthening the immune system. I'll keep you up to date as I learn more about this.

For now, wishing you health and happiness!

Please share your thoughts about this and what you're doing to get healthy.
