Hi All - Don't forget to smile throughout this wonderful day,
My journey with thyroid cancer has been scary and enlightening. Since this is the hand I've been dealt I feel it is important to learn everything I can about how to cure this disease.
I learned about Essiac Tea from the "Truth About Cancer, A Quest For The Cure", and added it to my diet almost immediately. It has just four ingredients. Burdock root - a blood purifier, Sheep Sorrel - the ingredient that reduces tumors, Slippery Elm Bark - has healing properties, and Turkey Rhubarb - anti tumor activity. A few benefits of drinking Essiac Tea are:
*it is an antioxidant
*it has immune boosting effects
*it has anti-inflammatory properties
*It protects the liver
*It helpful if you have had chemotherapy
The reason I started taking it was because of the story I heard about it during the docu-series. I don't remember all of the details, but a woman had cancer and started taking the tea. When she went back to the doctor, he told her she was in remission. He also asked what she had been doing and she told him about the Essiac Tea. The doctor informed her that had nothing to do with it. So the woman stopped taking the tea. Her cancer came back because she believed her physician. When her daughter learned she had stopped taking the tea she encouraged her to start again and again her cancer went back into remission. Her taking the tea kept her cancer at bay and if I can't cure this, then keeping it at bay would be my next best option.
As I read about this tea, one thing that stuck with me is it is most effective during the early stages of cancer. If the cancer has progressed it should be used as a supplement to another cancer protocol. I'm using the tea along with a modified version of the Gerson Diet. My thyroid cancer was stage 4, but I feel very optimistic both of these strategies will help me on my journey.
I drink Essiac Tea every morning. The way to use it is to heat up 2oz of water, add 2oz of Essiac Tea to the water and drink it on an empty stomach. Then wait 30 minutes before eating anything else. It tastes like black tea.
Essiac tea was originally an Indian remedy. Rene Cassie found out about the tea through one of her patients who had been taking the tea for breast cancer. At the time she passed the remedy on to Cassie, she had remained alive for 30 years without surgery. Rene Cassie tested the tea and found it to be very effective. Each of the ingredients have special properties and are useful in other ailments as well. If you are interested, read the story of Essiac Tea and find out more about it's healing properties.
I personally believe in Essiac Tea and plan to take it, at least, until my December appointment.
As always, please share what you're doing to be healthy. Wishing you happiness and good health.
